Go with the flow. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel sad, cry. When you’re having a good day, indulge yourself! Every day isn’t the same and should be treated as such.
Cancer treatments vary greatly and so do the side effects. You’re not giving up or giving in if you take a day and stay in bed. Your body needs that rest and time to recover from everything the chemo is doing to your body.
When you do have a good day, though, embrace it! Do the things you enjoy! Sure, you may be back in bed tomorrow, but take advantage of the break from exhaustion and pain to do something that is fun for you!
Are you looking for something good to read? We suggest “A Path in the Storm,” charles’ latest book. It’s a short, easy read that works well on those days when you don’t always have the best focus!
